Nursing Clinical Adjunct
The Nursing Clinical Adjunct is responsible for the general effectiveness of clinical experiences. Adjunct Faculty has a primary responsibility for preparing and teaching clinical and/or laboratory nursing courses. The Nursing Clinical Adjunct works with the Lead Clinical Faculty, Clinical Coordinator, and the Program Director.
This is an in-person position. Not remote.
Essential Functions:
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, a master's degree in nursing preferred
- Experience: Experience in Pediatrics or Medical/Surgical required. Two (2) years of experience in the clinical specialty area. Current knowledge in the area of clinical practice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations. Outstanding conflict resolution skills. Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills. Computer based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills).
Demonstrated clinical competency and professional standards of practice. Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines. Ability to develop a professional rapport with diverse school/campus constituents. Ability to develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision. Ability to learn from students' participation, demonstrates fair and consistent behavior in all matters, and shows compassion without being ineffectual.
Ability to perform with legal and ethical boundaries. - License/Certifications: Unencumbered RN nursing License. Membership in a professional association related to area of instruction preferred.
