As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in High Point, NC.
The scheduled hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 5:00p - 5:00a.
Three 12-Hour
Shifts:
Enjoy a consistent Wednesday-Friday, 5:00 PM-5:00 AM schedule with four days off each week.
Practice with Independence:
Use your nursing expertise to make clinical decisions, respond to workplace injuries and illnesses, and provide care with a high level of autonomy.
More Than Bedside Nursing:
Build expertise across occupational health, emergency response, work-related injuries, OSHA programs, and employee wellness—while making a direct impact on the workforce you serve.
- Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
- Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
- Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
- Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required;
Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred - Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services - Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
- At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
