Meridian Center - NC, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Burlington, NC, seeks a Unit Manager, RN to lead clinical care on a resident-centered unit. The Unit Manager supervises nurses and CNAs, coordinates assessments and care plans, oversees medications and treatments, and ensures regulatory compliance and accurate documentation. In this role, you'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve outcomes, support resident dignity and quality of life, and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise nursing staff on assigned unit to ensure safe, high-quality resident care
  • Oversee admission, assessment, care planning, and discharge processes for residents
  • Administer and monitor medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary care with therapy, social work, and support services
  • Provide clinical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to unit nurses and CNAs
  • Monitor resident conditions, respond to changes, and communicate with providers and families
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and adherence to infection control standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and resident care conferences
  • Support a resident-centered culture focused on dignity, compassion, and respect
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and orientation of new nursing team members
