Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a nationally recognized academic health system, and our Winston Salem Campus is a Level 1 trauma center. While working in the Outpatient Anesthesia Department, Premier Surgery Center, you will expand your skillset by working on cases including (but not limited to) Orthopedic and ENT.
As a valued member of our healthcare team, the CRNA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during Inpatient Procedures.
- Potential for and encouraged to precept Student Nurse Anesthetists – opportunity to mentor and assess these medical students.
- Uses medical decision‑making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan to ensure peri‑operative and anesthesia care, being sensitive to co‑morbidities and age & developmental guidelines.
- Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team‑based care;
- Uphold patient safety, drive quality improvement, and promote infection prevention within job responsibilities and initiatives.
- Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards, ensuring confidentiality.
- Maintain scheduling flexibility, readiness, and punctuality to deliver timely patient care.
- Exhibit professionalism through teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to cost containment efforts by conserving resources.
- The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.
- Current North Carolina RN license
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia
- National Board certification as a CRNA
- Current North Carolina CRNA licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
