Food Safety Specialist
The primary purpose of this role is to support hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients in upholding brand standards, ensuring exceptional food quality, and delivering customer-focused service to enhance the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments that measure conformity to regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards.
- Observe food preparation and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices.
- Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
- Teach and coach clients to create safer and healthier workplace environments for themselves and their customers.
- Travel 50%–70% (approximately 8–10 days per month), including some evening and weekend work.
- Conduct audits and inspections, implement and monitor food safety training and education, investigate food safety incidents, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain documentation and records.
- Influence others with tact and skill, provide clear and constructive feedback, and thrive in an autonomous working environment.
- Organize and prioritize work based on urgency and efficiency.
- Eligible for CP‑FS certification and required to obtain it.
- Available to work Monday‑Friday, Saturdays, and evenings as needed.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
- Licenses and certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
- Strong knowledge of food safety;
Serv Safe and/or CP‑FS certification is a plus. - Excellent listening, organization, communication, and time‑management skills.
