Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Conduct chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging components, finished products, microbiological, and stability samples using internally developed and compendial test methods. Implement validated test methods for pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products, ensuring their strength, impurities, and identity through spectroscopy and traditional quantitative analysis. Maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, packaging components, finished products, microbiological, and stability samples.
  • Implement validated test methods for pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products.
  • Recognize and report out-of-specification or unexpected results and non-routine analytical and product problems; recommend solutions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation as needed.
  • Clearly and accurately communicate the results of work, detailing testing/analysis and acquired results.
  • Record and report results of analysis in accordance with prescribed lab procedures and systems.
  • Provide communications with outside departments.
  • Clean and organize work area, instrumentation, and testing materials.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in quality control and laboratory procedures.
  • Strong experience in chemistry and biology.
  • Ability to use common office software and chromatographic data acquisition systems.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science required, preferably in Chemistry or Biology.
  • No prior experience required.
Work Environment

The work is conducted in a laboratory setting with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

This is a Contract position based out of High Point, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
