Job Description

Position Title: Quality Manager

The Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring product excellence across North America. This position requires an individual who is self-motivated and capable of working independently, as oversight will be minimal. The manager will serve as the primary contact for quality-related issues, collaborating with both internal teams and external clients to drive improvements. Challenges include addressing returns from major retailers and coordinating with international manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Quality Manager Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all quality issues across North America
  • Develop an understanding of customer-reported quality issues to promote continuous improvement
  • Review recurring product and manufacturing issues to identify improvement opportunities
  • Communicate quality findings and improvement opportunities to factories
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked
  • Control and reduce the overall cost of quality
  • Partner with internal teams to enhance reporting and data accuracy
  • Oversee and manage the US Customer Service department
  • Travel 3-5 days per month within the US, with potential international travel

Quality Manager Requirements:

  • Five years of experience as a quality manager
  • Proficient with ERP systems and Excel, with troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experience in the furniture industry is required
  • A degree is preferred
  • Flexibility to work after hours and on weekends during peak periods is preferred
