Position Summary:The Laboratory Research Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day technical and operational activities for multiple human subjects research studies within the Department of Psychology. This position coordinates biosample processing operations, maintains laboratory supplies and research equipment, supports biosafety and regulatory compliance activities, and assists with routine Institutional Review Board (IRB) updates. Working under general guidance, the coordinator follows established laboratory procedures and research protocols, resolves routine operational issues using established processes, and serves as a technical resource to research staff and undergraduate assistants to support efficient laboratory operations.
Minimum Education RequiredHigh School diploma or GED
Required Qualifications- High School diploma or GED and one (1) year of relevant experience supporting laboratory operations, research, technical, or operational activities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated organizational, communication, and technical skills with the ability to follow established laboratory procedures, coordinate multiple priorities, and resolve routine operational issues using established processes.
- Experience supporting human subjects research, biosample processing, laboratory inventory, biosafety activities, or Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes.
The pay range for this job profile is $17.50 - $22.86. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
