The Co-Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations. The Perishables Co-Manager directly supervises key departments including Deli, Starbucks, Produce, Bakery, Meat, and Frozen Foods. And the Front End/Grocery Co-Manager directly supervises the Front End and Grocery departments.
Key Responsibilites- Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring customers are greeted, assisted, and thanked.
- Supervise hiring, training, evaluations, and personnel decisions for assigned departments.
- Manage department schedules, budgets, and inventory.
- Submit payroll using the Work Force Management system.
- Report maintenance issues via Verisae.
- Lead training and development initiatives, including department orientation and computer-based learning.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety across all store areas including sales floor, back room, bathrooms, and parking lot.
- Oversee store safety programs, including:
- Safety meetings
- Staff training on safety procedures
- Monthly inspections
- Daily temperature checks
- Store sweep logs
- Occurrence reports and video/still documentation
- Utilize store technology platforms such as Work Force Management, Onboarding, Western Union, and Outlook.
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
- 1+ year of management experience or equivalent education/training.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and work under pressure.
- Basic math and reading skills.
