Position Overview

Technical Sales Manager – Creedmoor, NC, onsite. Reports to Director of Sales. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the Aerospace/Aviation industry and 3+ years technical sales experience driving top‑line growth with demanding customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize value of all product lines by engaging customers, developing leads, and capturing orders.
  • Work directly with value streams to improve profitability, reduce inventory, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Create and lead sales campaigns, expand customer knowledge, extend product life cycles, and increase organic sales.
  • Educate Government agencies and DOD on product portfolio.
  • Negotiate proposals, collate in‑service fleet intelligence, manage quotations and orders, and ensure on‑time deliveries.
  • Prepare proposals within authorization limits, including TINA packages.
  • Forecast future sales and opportunities for pipeline reviews; report to BU Lead and Head of Sales & Marketing.
  • Identify internal sales growth opportunities under existing license agreements.
  • Follow up on quotes via phone, email, and face‑to‑face meetings.
  • Maintain Dynamics CRM, including accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, and pipeline.
  • Produce customer meeting & trip reports, weekly sales highlights, and monthly reports.
  • Develop Key Account Plans and understand customer product demands and order trends.
  • Coordinate resolution of customer issues regarding product, pricing, lead times, or quality using advanced problem‑solving skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent aerospace/aviation experience.
  • 3+ years in technical sales or an equivalent customer‑facing role.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills for senior‑level clients and internal teams.
  • Proactive, accountable, with a track record of meeting ambitious sales targets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a small, flexible team and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally or internationally.
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements; U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) is required.

Compensation

$110,000 – $140,000 per year, based on experience.
