Description

Overview of the role:
The agent will interact with members requiring customer service for transactional, deposit, and loan assistance. They will handle monetary transactions accurately, provide excellent service, sell suitable products and services that meet members’ specific needs, and process loan applications via various channels while ensuring data accuracy. The position involves daily face‑to‑face interaction with members.

General Accountability

The role requires initial contact with members needing customer service and loan assistance. It involves satisfying members’ financial needs by processing transactions efficiently and accurately, providing excellent customer service and selling products and services that meet members’ specific needs.

Nature and Scope

  • Ability to discuss and sell AFCU products and services and to operate in a sales oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of Consumer Lending, Risk Based Lending and Credit Scoring and Credit Bureau interface for Miser and Velocity
  • Handle member complaints, and problems, with the ability to defuse member anger.
  • Offer assistance to all AFCU financial centers, The Call Center, Visa, Accounting, and Mortgage Departments, and Anytime Access/ Digital Insight
  • Display a professional, courteous and helpful attitude to customers internal and external.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in respect to the member’s financial affairs and confidences
  • Eligibility to be bonded
  • Able to work overtime, as needed
Requirements

Education and Experience

High School graduate or equivalent required.

Cash handling experience preferred.

Two or more years in sales environment, preferably financial products and services.

Two years financial institution experience preferred.

Eligible to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.
