The Role
Sales Development Advisor
Job SummaryThis is an Unlicensed position. Candidates with Insurance Licenses will not be considered. Select Quote is a growing company with a one-of-a-kind culture. We are hiring individuals for our Sales Development Advisor (SDA) role within our Select Quote Qualifications Team. Team members handle all of Select Quote's insurance product inquiries, working with consumers to understand their needs and triage them to a licensed agent.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Outbound dialing sales prospects to generate interest in Select Quote’s products – upwards of 800 calls daily
- Handle and overcome sales objections and stalls to transfer potential customers to a licensed insurance agent
- Meet and exceed specified monthly goals for transfer rates and contact-to-transfer conversion
- Receive paid training and tools for success
- Earn potential: base plus bonus, average first‑year earnings around $50k, top producers $80k+
- After six months of success, participate in a Sales Training Program to move into a licensed sales agent role and obtain licensing support
- Sales acumen and willingness to overcome objections
- Ability to follow instructions and proficiency with technology, including computers, software applications, multiple monitors, and phone systems
- Demonstrated professionalism in conduct and behavior
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year or more experience working in telesales or sales environment required
- Preferred: experience in a high‑volume metrics or commission‑driven role with proven success
- Job stability and tenure in prior roles
- Flexibility to work overtime hours, weekends, or irregular schedules (with or without accommodations) is highly preferable
- Ability to spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer
- Hardwired high‑speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 20 Mbps and upload speed of 20 Mbps
- Work‑from‑home environment: punctuality, adherence to attendance policies, assigned schedule, quiet dedicated workspace free of distractions. Full‑time W‑2 position with set schedule
