Position: Outside Sales Representative (Distribution)

Our client is a well‑established, growth‑oriented supplier to the electrical & industrial markets. Due to continued territory expansion, they're adding an Outside Sales Representative to own revenue growth across an assigned region.

The Role

You'll drive top‑line growth through a mix of outside and inside selling – hunting new accounts, deepening existing relationships, and expanding the client's footprint with distributors, contractors, and other industrial end‑users. This is an individual contributor seat with real territory ownership: you set the plan, work the pipeline, and get measured on results.

What You'll Do
  • Hit and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through disciplined territory management
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business while growing share of wallet in existing accounts
  • Run a steady cadence of in‑person visits, virtual meetings, and calls across the territory
  • Negotiate stocking programs and other growth partnerships with key accounts
  • Keep the CRM clean – pipeline, activity, and forecasting
  • Deliver product presentations that translate technical specs into customer value
  • Partner with inside sales on quoting, order processing, and follow‑through
  • Feed market and competitor intelligence back into sales strategy
What You Bring
  • A hunter's mentality with the organization and follow‑through to manage a full territory independently
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on technical products and sell consultatively
  • Comfort with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license; up to 50% regional travel, including industry trade shows
  • 2-5+ years of proven sales success – industrial, distribution, electrical, or manufacturing backgrounds strongly preferred
