Summary

The Scientist I / Analytical Scientist is responsible for performing chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, finished products, stability samples, and in-process materials using validated analytical methods. The role involves conducting routine laboratory testing, documenting and reporting results, maintaining analytical instruments, ensuring compliance with GMP/GLP standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support quality and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, finished products, stability samples, and in-process materials.
  • Execute validated and compendial analytical methods for strength, impurities, identity, spectroscopy, chromatography, and traditional wet chemistry analyses.
  • Identify, investigate, and report out-of-specification (OOS), unexpected, or non-routine analytical results, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory instrumentation as required.
  • Accurately document testing procedures, analytical data, and results in accordance with laboratory procedures and documentation systems.
  • Prepare and communicate analytical findings clearly to internal stakeholders and cross-functional departments.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and proper handling of testing materials and equipment.
  • Perform all laboratory activities in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with company and facility quality and regulatory standards.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another Science-related discipline (required).
  • No prior industry experience required.
  • Familiarity with common Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic knowledge of chromatographic data acquisition systems is preferred.
  • Chemical and physical testing techniques.
  • Chromatography and spectroscopy.
  • Traditional wet chemistry analysis.
  • Analytical instrumentation operation and troubleshooting.
  • Laboratory documentation and data recording.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and autonomous problem-solving abilities.
