As a Security Officer – Gate Access Control in High Point, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, and guide employees and visitors through check‑in procedures. You will monitor activity, complete security‑related reports, and perform routine patrols to help spot and address concerns early. Daytime – Tue 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Wed 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Thu 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Fri 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized personnel to proper destinations per site requirements.
• Coordinate contractor, vendor, and delivery check‑in and/or check‑out, including confirming appointments, reviewing required documentation, and communicating with site contacts before granting access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting with site emergency protocols as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process‑adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security‑related concerns for reporting.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
