Position:
Full‑time Maintenance Technician (Qualified for immediate hiring)
Perform a variety of maintenance duties at Canteen’s facility located at 100 North Pendleton Street, High Point, North Carolina.
Responsibilities- Maintain, repair, clean, and operate plant, shop, mechanical areas, exterior grounds, and campus facilities.
- Perform basic maintenance duties and repairs as assigned; contact supervisors, skilled‑trade vendors, or on‑call personnel as instructed.
- Update work statuses, timing, and costs of repairs using company technology systems.
- Provide fleet maintenance support, including welding, plumbing, electrical work, food‑truck kitchen maintenance, vehicle operation, on‑campus fleet troubleshooting, generator repairs, and general maintenance.
- Assist in decisions on all minor and routine repairs; report major problems to supervisor, foreman, or journeyman.
- Cleans sidewalks and parking areas; removes trash, debris, branches, and similar items.
- Operate electrical and gasoline‑powered equipment.
- Maintain equipment; perform minor equipment repairs using power and hand tools.
- Execute unskilled or semi‑skilled tasks such as minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, lamp changing, and drywall maintenance.
- Respond to emergency problems in the facility; perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Maintain logs, perform rounds, and complete maintenance work orders, tests, and inspections.
- Read, comprehend, and transmit detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
- Serve as a member of the facility’s emergency response team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- One year of related experience as a maintenance worker/technician in a similar‑sized institution or in a grounds maintenance occupation.
- Valid driver’s license.
Exposure to high heat, noise, dust, dirt, and infection control areas. Must meet daily work deadlines and be willing to work all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary to maintain facility safety and performance.

Pay range: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour. Full‑time, Monday–Friday. Weekly on‑call rotation. Applications accepted online only.
