Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking
** Pipe Helpers
** to join our manufacturing shop. In this role you will perform a variety of tasks to support the Pipe Department. You will work alongside skilled trades employees and have the opportunity to gain industry experience and grow your career path.

* Schedule:
** Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
** Responsibilities:
*** Assist other trade employees in the Pipe Department as directed (e.g. Pipe welders, Pipe fitters, Plumbers, etc.)
* Handle and organize material
* Clean and maintain work areas, materials, and tools by removing debris and trash
* Use power tools (e.g. grinder, drill, impact wrench, etc.)
* Work safely and adhere to all safety rules and policies
* Work in a fast-paced team environment
** Education Requirements/
Qualifications:
*** Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required
* Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
* At least 6 months experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
* Speaking and reading proficiency in either English or Spanish is required
* Previous pipe fitting or plumbing experience preferred
** Job Requirements/Special
Skills:
*** Ability to read a tape measure required
* Ability to read blueprints preferred
* Ability to work independently and on a team
* Strong verbal communication skills
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift
* Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
* Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
* Ability to perform work at heights utilizing ladders and lifts
