Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to operate various heavy machinery, including trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, and graders, in a safe and efficient manner. The operator will also perform maintenance, clean, and secure equipment according to company policies.
Job
Duties Include:
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
- Precision digging, be able to hold grade on footing and size.
- Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant policies and procedures
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
- Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
- Advise the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
- Participate in routine maintenance
- Practice workplace safety
Job Requirements:
- Experience is preferred.
- Able to pass a drug test.
- Must be able to move materials and equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds
- Repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation required
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, ladder and stair climbing and occasional crawling and twisting are a must to perform the basic functions of the job
- Follow instructions as directed by foreman/superintendent.
- Must be able to follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
