Construction Installer – Columbus & Cincinnati, OH
Job Summary: As a Construction Installer, you will use hand and power tools to install bird deterrent products such as netting and spikes in commercial facilities. Work will be at heights up to 40 ft using aerial lifts, roofs, and scaffolding. The role involves customer service, equipment maintenance, technical training, and ensuring safe, quality installations.
Responsibilities- Train company colleagues in bird and bat application techniques.
- Discuss any unusual circumstances or problems immediately with a supervisor or sales representative.
- Participate in group meetings to develop new ways to meet and exceed customer needs.
- Identify customer bird or bat problems and apply appropriate preventive steps where problems exist.
- Complete initial technical training and participate in update training to stay current with proven methods.
- Maintain equipment and vehicle in a clean, working condition for safety and appropriate appearance.
- Assist sales and management personnel in reviewing accounts and upgrading services as appropriate.
- Complete customers’ and administrative reports in a timely manner.
- Meet productivity levels based on training, experience, and account type, including proper use of all power equipment and aerial work platforms.
- Participate in off‑hours and weekend services when requested.
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather and damp or dusty locations.
- Use application and inspection equipment and small hand and power tools.
- Flexible with working hours, able to work all shifts, and able to travel nationally; may work extended hours up to 60 per week including nights and weekends.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Able to enter and exit structures and crawl spaces, climb over and on top of structures, ascend and descend stairs, and balance/work off ladders up to 60 ft.
- Comfortable with heights.
- Certification in aerial work platforms and use of Hilti power‑actuated equipment.
- Operate aerial work platforms.
- Work off or balance on fixed and swing scaffolding.
- Will be required to obtain any required industry licenses.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
Hourly: $19.00 – $35.00
