Job Description

The Auto Body Technician will provide exceptional customer experiences through meticulous assessment and quality repair, restoring vehicles to pre‑accident condition. Responsibilities include disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles, meeting KPIs, and acting as a brand ambassador.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
  • Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates.
  • Use tools (cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, pliers) to repair vehicle sections.
  • Hammer out dents and dimples, mix and apply filler resins where necessary.
  • Realign chassis and frames to address structural damage.
  • Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; repair or replace glass as needed.
  • Replace or repair interior parts as required.
  • Weld or attach parts, repaint vehicles with factory‑specified paint or agreed‑to equivalents.
  • Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with other repairers within the shop.
  • Understand methods and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.
  • Know how to use required tools.
Other Requirements
  • Work safely in noisy areas with odors.
  • Lift up to 30 pounds at times.
  • Visually inspect damage in various weather conditions.
  • Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

Compensation

Flat rate compensation, estimated $50,000–$150,000 per year, performance‑based and tied to booked hours. Minimum wage guarantee applies to clocked hours.
