Position SummaryCourtyard by Marriott – High Point is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Technician to join our team in High Point, NC. This person will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all equipment in a commercial building.
Responsibilities and Requirements- A minimum of an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to follow instructions and recognize problems on equipment or its operation.
- Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers.
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.).
- Conduct general upkeep procedures, e.g., landscaping, wallpaper repairs, knowledgeable with tools preferably electrical tools, snaking drains, not afraid of heights.
- Other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, plumbing, repairs, perform Room Preventative Maintenance on guest rooms, etc.).
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions and outdoors.
- Must be able to travel when necessary to different locations.
- Social Security Card & DL//Birth certificate must match to be eligible for consideration.
