Field Service Technician I – Wilmington, NC Position Summary

Field Service Technician – responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of electromechanical equipment such as self‑checkout systems within assigned territory. Provide first‑line response to customers, communicate in an open, helpful and engaging manner, organize and triage customer issues, and handle problems before they arise.

• Hourly pay: $17.00 to $19.00 depending on location and experience.
• Overtime available at time and a half.
• 7 paid holidays and 6 paid floating holidays.

• Perform customer installation, maintenance and service calls promptly and effectively.
• Service electromechanical equipment such as self‑checkout systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and system overhauls.

• Local candidate to designated geographic area.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting NCR fleet requirements.
• PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Acceptance of prolonged travel, including driving several hours per day.
• Availability for rotating and weekend shifts.
• Flexibility for rotating shifts within set teams, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times with some holidays.
• Physical capability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75lb without assistance or up to 150lb with assistance.
• Capability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, and repetitively manipulate objects of varying size.
• Willingness to be trained on and operate small‑scale scissor lifts in retail environments.

• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software.
• A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification.
• One or more years of related experience.
