Maintenance Technician Position Summary

Courtyard by Marriott - High Point is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Technician to join our team in High Point, NC. This person will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment in a commercial building.

• Install, maintain, and repair all equipment in the commercial building.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Follow instructions and recognize problems with equipment or its operation.
• Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, closers, doors, and controllers.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (e.g., fix locks, replace windows).
• Conduct general upkeep procedures including landscaping, wallpaper repairs, and other maintenance tasks.
• Perform room preventative maintenance on guest rooms.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Perform tasks that involve lifting 50 pounds or more.
• Work in all weather conditions and outdoors.
• Travel to different locations when necessary.

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work on site in all weather conditions.
• Capability to travel to different locations as required.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
