Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) - OTP Clinic
The Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) will provide specialized, comprehensive clinical assessments and consultations with the inmates and staff at both detention centers. Access to assessments and recommendations will help facilitate client-centered linkage to community services. The LCAS will focus on inmates who are in detox protocol but who are not participating in the Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. The role of the LCAS is to provide comprehensive clinical assessments with inmates in the detox protocol.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive addiction assessments and clinical evaluations for individuals in the criminal justice system.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans addressing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling focused on addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and behavioral health.
- Collaborate with reentry coordinators, case managers, probation officers, and healthcare providers to ensure integrated care.
- Facilitate referrals to community resources including detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient services, employment, housing, and social supports.
- Document clinical progress and maintain compliance with program and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, training, and community outreach related to jail diversion and reentry.

This position is supported by grant funding for an initial 18 month period, with the opportunity to extend for another 12 months. Following the grant period, there may be opportunities for the role to continue as part of ongoing operations, contingent on program sustainability and organizational needs.
