In this role, you’ll be the frontline expert ensuring our hazardous materials are prepared, packaged, labeled, and shipped in strict accordance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations. Your diligence protects people, property, and the environment while keeping our supply chain moving safely and efficiently. You’ll serve as a go‑to resource for hazmat best practices, partnering closely with warehouse operations, carriers, and customers.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Prepare, package, and label hazardous materials shipments in full regulatory compliance (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
- Review and verify documentation including SDS, bills of lading, and dangerous goods declarations.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and ensure compliant handling.
- Maintain shipping records, compliance logs, and audit-ready documentation.
- Inspect containers and packaging to ensure integrity and adherence to hazmat requirements.
- Serve as an internal subject‑matter expert on hazmat shipping procedures and safety standards.
- Include elements of processing inbound deliveries from suppliers, put‑away, inventory management, picking, labeling, packing, and shipping.
- 2+ years of proven experience shipping and handling hazardous materials.
- Current Hazmat/Dangerous Goods certifications across DOT, IATA, and IMDG.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and international hazmat regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to perform with accuracy in a fast‑paced operational environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
