** The Mission
** As our Maintenance Manager II, you aren’t just supervising repairs; you are the architect of uptime. You will lead a dedicated team of technicians and support staff, ensuring that our maintenance programs are executed with precision and that safety is never compromised.##
** Key Responsibilities (The Heavy Lifting):**
* ** Lead the Crew:
** Mentor and develop your shop team. You’ll be responsible for scheduling, performance management, and fostering a culture of excellence.
* ** Command the Shop:
** Direct all maintenance activities, from routine PMs to major overhauls, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
* ** Safety Champion:
** Own the safety culture in the shop. Conduct training, enforce PPE standards, and ensure every bolt is tightened and every inspection is perfect.
* ** Operational Synergy:
** Work hand-in-hand with the Operations team to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize downtime for our routes.
* ** Inventory & Vendor Mastery:
** Manage parts inventory and build strong relationships with external vendors to keep the supplies flowing and costs in check.
* ** Compliance Expert:
** Ensure all fleet records and shop operations meet DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations.##
** What You Bring to the Table:**
* ** The Foundation:
** High School Diploma or GED (Required).
* ** The Credentials:
** DOT certification for air brake inspection and a valid CDL (or the drive to get one within 6 months).

Experience:

** Substantial supervisory experience in a heavy-duty truck maintenance environment. You know your way around a diesel engine and a leadership meeting.
* ** Tech Fluency:
** Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience using fleet management software (like TMW or JDEdwards) to track work orders and assets.
* ** The Mindset:
** A problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads with a "Safety First, Quality Always" attitude.
