** What You'll Do as a Shipping And Receiving Warehouse Associate:*
* +  
** Shipping*
* + Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and documentation

+ Verify orders for accuracy before dispatch

+ Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners for timely delivery

+ Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documents

+ Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit

+  
** Receiving*
* + Receive, unload, and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality

+ Compare purchase orders with packing lists and received goods

+ Record and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages

+ Tag and store items in designated warehouse locations

+  
** Inventory & Warehouse Operations*
* + Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) or manual logs

+ Conduct cycle counts and assist in physical inventory audits

+ Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment

+ Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (if certified)

+ Follow all safety procedures and company policies

* Job Requirements:

* + Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with People Ready

+ 1-3 years of proven experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse or distribution environment

+ Familiarity with shipping carriers, freight processes, and documentation

+ Experience using warehouse management systems or inventory software

+ Forklift certification is an advantage (or willingness to obtain)

+ Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, data entry)

+ Good organizational and time-management skills

+ Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg)
