The Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Commercial Gas Engineer to manage and lead repair operations across a portfolio of social housing and commercial contracts, including care homes, public buildings, and other public-sector properties in and around High Wycombe and surrounding areas.

This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer with excellent fault-finding skills who can lead by example, support engineers on complex repairs, and ensure a high standard of service delivery across all contracts.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing and carrying out commercial gas fault-finding and repair works

* Leading repairs across social housing and public-sector commercial properties

* Supporting engineers with complex breakdowns on-site and via remote technical support

* Acting as a technical escalation point for difficult or high-risk jobs

* Working closely with the Area Manager to ensure contract KPIs and service standards are met

* Identifying training and development needs within the engineering team

* Mentoring apprentices and newly qualified engineers

* Ensuring all works comply with current Gas Safety and Health & Safety regulations

The Ideal Candidate

* ACS qualified (Commercial) CORT1,COCN1

* Proven experience in commercial gas repairs and fault-finding

* Experience working within social housing or public-sector environments (desirable)

* Strong understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirements

* Full UK driving licence

* Confident communicator with the ability to lead and support a team
