Carry out roofing repairs and maintenance across our homes, ensuring safe, high‑quality living environments for our customers.
Salary: £39,967 per annum
Location: Chesham/High Wycombe (Office Base), with travel across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and surrounding counties

About the Role / TeamWe’re looking for a skilled and experienced Roofing Repairs Technician to join our expanding Direct Labour Operations (DLO) team. You’ll diagnose issues, carry out day‑to‑day roofing repairs and maintenance across our property portfolio, and ensure all work meets regulatory and safety standards. You’ll work across both flat and pitched roofs, using a variety of materials and tools to deliver high‑quality, reliable services.
We’ll equip you with:
A fully equipped hybrid van and fuel card
An electronic tablet for job scheduling and updates
Workwear
Carry out day‑to‑day roofing repairs and maintenance across a range of properties
Diagnose roofing issues and complete repairs to a high standard
Work with a variety of roofing materials, including wood, asphalt, and insulation systems
Repair or replace shingles, tiles, felt, and other roofing components
Ensure all work complies with building regulations, health & safety standards, and organisational policies
Construct or repair weather‑resistant roofing systems
Experience with flat & pitched roofing
Undertake minor carpentry tasks where required to support roofing repairs
Maintain accurate records of work completed using digital systems
Provide excellent customer service, acting as a professional ambassador for Settle Paradigm
Must haves:
City & Guilds qualification, NVQ, or equivalent experience in roofing trades
Proven experience in roofing maintenance and repairs (flat and/or pitched roofs)
Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction practices, and health & safety standards
Ability to work at heights and undertake physically demanding tasks
Proficiency with roofing tools and materials
Full valid manual UK driving licence (preferably clean)
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Clear communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
Must be reliable
Nice to haves:
Minor carpentry skills to support roofing repairs
Experience mentoring or supporting other team members
Experience working within social housing or local authority environments

Hours:
