As a RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We’ll equip you for success from day one with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.

Compensation and working pattern
  • A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on-target earnings of up to £55,000 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable)
  • A guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities
  • 40 hours per week, with core hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and 1 in 4 Saturdays

Your role

As a Mobile Mechanic at RAC, you’ll bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to customers, wherever they are. You’ll deliver first-class service without the confines of a traditional garage, and you’ll work with your RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit as standard.

What you’ll need
  • Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years  hands-on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles
  • A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
