Service Engineer

An established and leading home improvement specialist is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join its growing team, covering High Wycombe, Welwyn Garden City and the Home Counties.

Specialising in the installation of orangeries, conservatories, garden rooms, glazed extensions, living spaces, and aluminium windows and doors, the company prides itself on delivering exceptional products and outstanding customer service.

The Role

As a Service Engineer, no two days are the same. One day you'll be adjusting bi-fold doors or sealing a conservatory roof, while the next you'll be delighting a customer by resolving a long-standing issue on the spot.

You'll use your technical expertise, problem-solving skills and attention to detail to carry out a variety of service and repair work, ensuring customers receive the highest standard of aftercare.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out service work to identify and rectify issues with products within the warranty period.
• Install and repair conservatories, windows and doors.
• Replace sealed units, sashes and door slabs.
• Adjust doors and windows to ensure correct operation.
• Replace components such as hinges, handles and other hardware.
• Diagnose and repair conservatory roof leaks.
• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Service Engineer or in the installation/service of windows, doors and conservatories.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Excellent practical and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, flexible approach to work.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to use your initiative and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
