As the trade-facing lead on site, you will be accountable for workmanship quality, safe systems of work, housekeeping, and the conduct of operatives working in occupied homes.

Your role will be key to right-first-time delivery, reducing snagging and callbacks, and ensuring works are fully evidenced and audit-ready.

· Ensure all operatives are inducted, RAMS briefed, competent, and hold valid cards or qualifications for the works they undertake

· Deliver toolbox talks, task briefings, and on-site coaching to raise standards of workmanship and safe working

· Identify and correct poor workmanship at source, managing snagging and rework ahead of handover

· Monitor output, productivity, and quality against programme, reporting progress, risks, and defects to the Site Manager

· Ensure correct storage, handling, and installation of materials in line with manufacturer guidance and warranty requirements

· Maintain accurate site records, including allocation sheets, daily diaries, toolbox talks, permits, QA checks, photos, deliveries, and waste records

· Support compliance with PAS 2030/2035, Trust Mark, Building Regulations, and client specifications

· Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across all trade activities, including PPE, working at height, hot works, dust control, and asbestos awareness

· Stop works immediately where standards, safety, or quality are compromised, and escalate appropriately

· Support the development of apprentices, trainees, and multi-skilled operatives through mentoring and on-site skills assessment

· Represent the business professionally in occupied homes, maintaining safe access, protecting resident property, and minimising disruption

· Support the Site Manager and RLO/CLO with resident queries, appointments, and defect resolution

· Attend site meetings, audits, inspections, and client walkarounds, providing accurate updates on progress and quality

· Raise early warnings regarding risks related to safety, design, access, materials, programme, or quality

· Contribute to continuous improvement by feeding back on repeat defects, buildability issues, and lessons learned
