Job Description

Inertial Aerospace , a HEICO company (NYSE: HEI ), is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineer at our Highland Heights, OH facility. With decades of aviation industry experience, Inertial Aerospace is a recognized leader in inertial navigation and avionics equipment repair. Since joining HEICO in 2001 , the company has continued to support the industry through innovation , service excellence, and operational reliability.

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of aerospace avionics electronics and test systems. This role supports new product development through hands‑on hardware design, prototype validation, and production transition.

Requirements
  • Review available product documentation, analysis of design features, product design, and formulate test equipment requirements necessary to comprehensively verify product operation
  • Develop test equipment concepts that can be effectively implemented
  • Perform detailed analog and digital design from conception through production that implement requirements
  • Perform schematic entry, supervision of PCB layout, and component selection
  • Integrate test equipment hardware and software with the product supported by software engineering
  • Troubleshoot problems/issues associated with test sets/products and provides analytical basis for problem resolution or replacement
  • Provide both test equipment and product support to production
  • Develops and presents technical briefings to management
  • Must work well with others and be flexible in handling multiple tasks
Experience required

3-5 years’ experience in the following

  • Analog and digital circuit design
  • Uses analytical equipment to troubleshoot and analyze system and component problems (multimeters, signal analyzers, oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, etc.)
  • Test Equipment design and development
  • Soldering and basic hand tools
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA
Experience Preferred
  • Strong analytic ability in verification testing and problem solving
  • Experience with schematic design tools and software KiCAD, Altium, Or‑CAD (or similar)
  • Experience with hardware descriptor languages (VHDL, Verilog)
  • Experience with programming languages and basic software development
