Master Machinist – 1st shift, M-F

Master Machinist – 1st shift, M-F, 7am-3:30pm $31.23/hr

Location:

Highland Heights, OH

• Set up and operate machining equipment to produce parts with minimal supervision.
• Understand close tolerance machining for low volume critical components.
• Read blueprints, G.D.&T., sketches, and process routings.
• Perform inspection of machined parts.
• Operate computer for production tracking.
• Perform general preventive maintenance of machines, including chip removal, coolant maintenance, and lubricant level checks.
• Maintain a clean work area and a safe work environment.
• Show good attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• HS diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience setting up and running manual lathes.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience setting up and running manual vertical mills.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with CNC lathes (Okuma controls) or CNC vertical mills (Fanuc controls).
• Willingness to learn operation of other machines and equipment.
• Optional: O.D. cylindrical grinding and surface grinding experience.
• Experience with 0–6” O.D. micrometers, 0–6” depth micrometers, dial calipers, and scale dial indicators.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Basic reading, math, and computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills for interaction with employees and management.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs unassisted and up to 250 lbs with mechanical assistance.
