Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Job Summary
Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within ICC warehouse operations and packages and prepares product for shipment to ICC customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Read production orders, pick tickets, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Fill pick tickets, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production.
- Generate appropriate labels for product identification and/or mark materials with identifying information.
- Prepare parcels for shipment in accordance with ICC and customer specifications to prevent damage, ensure preservation, and accurate identification.
- Work in a manner that promotes efficient handling and minimizes waste.
- Adhere to the principles of "5 S" to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Participate in company-sponsored training and process improvement activities.
- Comply with all ICC Policies as defined in the ICC Employee Handbook.
- Pursue continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
- Comply with all applicable elements of ICC Quality Management System.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience in a relevant warehouse setting and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

To perform the position, you must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR. - Punctual—must be able to arrive at work on time, to ensure orders from customers are packed and delivered on time.
- Must be able to communicate and interact with others.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Physical stamina and dexterity are vital for lifting and moving heavy loads.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, (if function requires) to operate a motor vehicle and forklift;
strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work.
Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
