Associate Software Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop software according to requirements and quality standards.
• Demonstrate successful completion of tasks within defined time frames.
• Demonstrate core competency in programming fundamentals and best practices such as SOLID, Object‑Oriented design principles, DRY, and Domain Driven Design.
• Learn and adapt to programming patterns and standards.
• Build and maintain high performing, reusable, and reliable code.
• Participate in all phases of SDLC including design, development, testing, documentation, and support.
• Collaborate with business analysts to develop solutions that meet specific business objectives.
• Understand business requirements, designs, and wireframes; refine and implement technical requirements into high‑quality code.
• Work directly with QA Analysts and Engineers to ensure proper tests are designed to meet acceptance criteria to produce high‑quality products.
• Support, troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Be a strong problem solver and possess an excellent work ethic and attitude.
• Collaborate, share, and learn from team members, and actively follow all team processes.
• Function as an excellent team player that can make significant contributions individually as well as part of the team.
• Demonstrate willingness to work on your craft and take initiative in learning new skills.
• Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience with Visual Studio, GIT and Azure Dev Ops.
• 2+ years of application development experience or equivalent skills across the following technologies; requirements may vary based on backend, frontend or full stack focus:
  Net Framework/Core, Angular, C#, JSON, SCSS/SASS, SQL, Test Driven Development/Unit Testing, Typescript, ES6, Web API/Rest.

• Working knowledge or experience with any of the following technologies:
  Agile Methodology, Asynchronous Programming, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure PAAS, Browser Compatibility Testing, Cosmos DB, CQRS Pattern, Dependency Injection, Entity Framework & LINQ, Micro Services, OData, Python.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related degree is preferred.
