About the Role

We’re seeking a full-time Accounting Manager / Controller to oversee the day-to-day accounting function across multiple entities, including real estate development, construction, and condominium associations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate, well-organized financial records, managing intercompany transactions, and serving as the primary accounting point of contact for ownership, CPAs, lenders, and internal teams.

We’re a lean, hands-on development firm—this role works directly with ownership and has meaningful influence over processes and reporting.

Responsibilities Core Accounting
  • Oversee and review A/P, A/R, payroll coordination, and bank/credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and supporting schedules
  • Manage accounting for development and construction entities
  • Track job costs, budgets, and project-level financial reporting
  • Prepare and manage construction draw requests and related lender reporting
  • Support cash planning and project-level cost monitoring
External Coordination
  • Serve as the primary accounting contact for CPAs, lenders, and insurance providers
  • Support year-end close and tax preparation processes (including K-1 support, schedules, and document requests)
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
  • High proficiency in Quick Books and Excel (reporting, reconciliations, schedules)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
  • Experience working across multiple entities and intercompany structures
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Opportunity to work closely with ownership on active development projects
  • Long-term growth potential within an established real estate development firm
