elliestyled is a modern event design, planning, and production company based in downtown Highland Park, proudly serving the North Shore and Chicagoland. From weddings and private homes to intimate dinner parties and brand activations, we create on trend yet approachable experiences that feel thoughtful, layered, and beautifully executed.
We operate out of our studio and venue, Atelier by elliestyled, where design, logistics, and creativity come together under one roof.
The RoleThe Event Designer is a client facing, creative, and production driven position responsible for guiding events from inquiry through execution. You will balance sales driven communication with thoughtful design, while working closely with our Creative Director to bring each event to life.
This is a hands on, fast paced role for someone who thrives under pressure, loves creative problem solving, and enjoys seeing projects through from concept to installation.
What You Will Do Client and Sales Experience- Serve as the first point of contact for new inquiries
- Lead inquiry calls, explain services, and guide clients through the booking process
- Schedule and run consultations and site visits
- Convert inquiries into booked clients and signed agreements
- Maintain clear, proactive communication throughout the design process
- Translate client vision into cohesive design concepts using tools like Canva, Pinterest, and social platforms
- Create mood boards, design plans, and event concepts
- Stay up to date on design and event trends
- Lead and coordinate assistants and vendors
- Order, track, and prepare event materials
- Oversee packing, installation, styling, and breakdown
- Support a collaborative, organized production environment
- Lead event setup and styling on site
- Ensure smooth execution from load in to teardown
- Work closely with the Creative Director to maintain brand and design integrity
- Previous experience in event coordination, event design, or a related field
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
- Strong work ethic and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong design eye and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Degree or certification in event management, design, or a related field
- Portfolio showing relevant event or design work
- Experience with florals, styling, or client relations
- Starting at 25 dollars per hour
- 50 percent health insurance coverage after three months
- 25 dollars per month cell phone stipend
- 10 paid time off days per year
- Mileage reimbursement for work related driving
This role gives you the opportunity to work on high end events, collaborate with a creative team, and take ownership of projects from concept through execution. You will gain hands on experience across design, client management, and production in a fast growing, design driven company.
