Job Description & How to Apply Below
1) Preaching and Teaching
- Preach in the Highland Park and Long Grove youth programs at least once a month
- Coordinate with the Full Time Youth Minister in organizing and teaching the Sunday School curriculum at both the Highland Park and Long Grove locations
- Build relationships with youths through visitation/meetup and counseling
- Shepherd youth spiritual growth with the support of other Youth Ministry Team members and congregational Pastors and Elders.
- Disciple selected youths to build a core youth student leadership team
Ministry and Organization
- Formulate youth ministry mission and strategy under the overall TGC church vision
- Help coordinate newcomer follow-up and outreach activities
- Encourage parental involvement with the discipleship of youth
- Plan and co-lead Friday night gatherings with the Full-Time Youth Minister
Ministry Load: 30 hours per week (potential to convert to full-time)
Accountability:
The position is under the supervision of the lead pastor and reports to the TGC Board of Elders. Duration:
One year (renewable).
