• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS) endorsement required
• Experience with middle school students (grades 68) strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for varying abilities, particularly for students with learning and social emotional needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and other professionals
• Knowledge of current special education best practices, IEP development, and progress monitoring

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a range of learning and social emotional needs
• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and independence
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff to ensure continuity of learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
• Utilize proactive classroom management strategies tailored to students unique needs
