Registered Nurse - Highland Park Hospital ; Behavioral Health - Day Shift

Hourly Pay Range $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Sign on bonus: 0-5 years of Behavioral Health RN experience $2500; 6+ years $5000;
  Not eligible for rehires within one year; to be paid in two increments after completion of 6 months and after completion of 12 months.

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
• Maintain competency reflective of current standards of practice.
• Interact and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Integrate ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
• Integrate evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
• Recognize and adjust to situations that vary from the norm.
• Promote safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.
• Guide and supervise staff in the provision of patient care.
• Enhance own professional growth and development.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic working environment and recognize need for action in emergency situations.
• Ensure documentation is thorough and timely completed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

• At least one year experience as a Behavioral Health/Psych RN
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Demonstrate mastery of nursing skills.
• Communicate effectively and be able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
• Current Illinois Nursing licensure.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on the unit requirements.
