Hourly Pay Range $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights- Sign on bonus: 0-5 years of Behavioral Health RN experience $2500; 6+ years $5000;
Not eligible for rehires within one year; to be paid in two increments after completion of 6 months and after completion of 12 months. - Position:
Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health Inpatient – Day Shift - Location:
Highland Park Hospital - Full Time/Part Time: 32 hours/week
- Hours:
Days (7:00‑3:30) Rotating Holidays/Weekends - Required Travel:
None
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
- Maintain competency reflective of current standards of practice.
- Interact and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
- Integrate ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
- Integrate evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
- Recognize and adjust to situations that vary from the norm.
- Promote safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.
- Guide and supervise staff in the provision of patient care.
- Enhance own professional growth and development.
- Maintain a safe therapeutic working environment and recognize need for action in emergency situations.
- Ensure documentation is thorough and timely completed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- At least one year experience as a Behavioral Health/Psych RN
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Demonstrate mastery of nursing skills.
- Communicate effectively and be able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
- Current Illinois Nursing licensure.
- American Heart Association CPR Certification.
- ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on the unit requirements.
