Overview

The Regional Account Executive is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies directly to Original Equipment (OE) Dealers on a regional basis. The role focuses on delivering growth in sales volume, account share, and market share through outside sales to existing and new customers.

Key Outcomes

Manage sales territory, expand the business, and develop new accounts within the assigned region. Achieve individual goals of increasing private label revenue and adding new dealers to the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop lasting relationships with customers, providing an excellent purchasing experience that fosters dedicated and residual business partnerships.
  • Maintain a team-oriented attitude and approach with the GVW group and customer base.
  • Develop and execute customer‑specific sales strategies with Autocar Dealers and OE Dealers in the assigned territory.
  • Understand each customer’s market and communicate competitor developments to leadership.
  • Contribute to operational excellence by assessing market dynamics and providing insights.
Position Requirements
  • Direct sales experience a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in commercial vehicle parts or B2B commercial business.
  • History of exceeding goals.
  • Strong desire to win and passion for customer service.
  • Open to coaching and feedback.
  • Technology proficient.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage conflicting priorities, and meet aggressive time constraints.
  • Demonstrated productivity with minimal supervision; results‑oriented and proactive.
  • Effective with diverse audiences, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
  • Trusted consultant with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong drive and willingness to succeed.
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands with a sense of urgency.
  • Travel required:

    75%.

Required Education, Certification, Training

Bachelor’s degree or minimum 2 years of sales experience in commercial vehicle parts or commercial business to business.

Employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear, occasionally required to stand and walk, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

Moderate noise level; other conditions as typical for a sales role.
