Brooksource is seeking a Robotics Engineer to support automation and robotics initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in designing, integrating, and optimizing robotic systems that improve production efficiency, safety, and quality. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with industrial robotics and enjoys working cross‑functionally to support continuous improvement and new equipment installations.
What You’ll Do- Design, program, and troubleshoot industrial robots, cobots, and automated tooling
- Lead and support integration of new robotic cells
, conveyors, end‑of‑arm tooling (EOAT), and machine vision systems - Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for automation‑related downtime
- Partner with Plant Engineering and Operations teams to improve cycle time, throughput, and product quality
- Create and maintain technical documentation including robot programs, schematics, PM plans, and standards
- Train maintenance and production teams on robot operation, troubleshooting, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Safety teams on automation upgrades
- Ensure systems comply with OSHA, MIOSHA, and internal safety standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering
, or related field - 2+ years of hands‑on experience with industrial robotics
- Strong experience with robot programming, troubleshooting, and system integration
- Working knowledge of PLCs, sensors, and industrial automation controls
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
- Experience using CAD software
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Experience with machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
- Exposure to Industry 4.0, smart factory initiatives, or manufacturing data collection
- Experience supporting new equipment launches or automation retrofits
- Automotive or high‑volume manufacturing experience
