Vice President, Business Development (Tech, Media, & Communications) Overview
The VP, Business Development is responsible for driving new-logo revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new BPO/CX partnerships within Tech, Media, Communications companies. This role owns the full sales cycle - from prospecting and pipeline generation through solutioning, proposal development, and contract close. This role serves as the primary driver of Qualfon's growth strategy within the Tech, Media, Communications vertical.
The VP partners closely with Solutions, Delivery, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to build compelling, compliant, and commercially sound offers that win new business and position Qualfon as the best CX partner of choice.

Compensation: This position will be paid on a salaried basis with a pay range between $150,000 and $175,000 annually depending on prior experience. This base pay is subject to all applicable statutory deductions and authorized with holdings as required by law. This base pay is also subject to any authorized deductions to contribute toward the employee's portion of benefits premiums and/or 401(k) contributions.

ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development & Pipeline Generation
- Own new-logo revenue targets within the Tech, Media, Communications vertical
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified prospects through outbound prospecting, industry networking, referrals, market research and leveraging Lead Generation resources
- Identify target accounts across CX, Tech and Sales with BPO/CX outsourcing needs
- Represent Qualfon at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events (e.g., CCW, Tech, Media, Communications industry summits) to build market presence and generate leads
- Develop and execute account-based sales strategies for high-priority prospects
Deal Strategy & Closing
- Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract signature
- Partner with Solutions and Delivery teams to shape compelling, differentiated proposals and pricing models
- Lead and respond to RFPs/RFIs for net-new Tech, Media, Communications opportunities
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, and contract frameworks in partnership with Finance and Legal
- Build multi-year growth narratives and business cases that resonate with C-suite Tech, Media, Communications buyers
Executive Relationship Building
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with prospective client stakeholders (C-suite, VP-level decision makers)
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding prospects' business goals, environment and operational pain points
- Position Qualfon's value proposition around governance, compliance, operational excellence, and human + AI enablement
- Lead strategic discovery sessions and executive-level pitch presentations
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the internal "quarterback" for new deal pursuits, aligning stakeholders across:
- Solutions & Pricing
- Delivery & Operations
- Technology & Automation
- Finance & Legal
- Marketing
- Drive urgency and accountability across internal teams to meet client timelines and win deadlines
- Partner with Account Management to ensure smooth handoff and onboarding of newly won accounts
Industry & Domain Expertise
- Maintain deep expertise in BPO sales for the Tech, Media, Communications industry and trends
- Bring forward innovative, differentiated solutions including AI-enabled CX, automation, and digital transformation offerings
