Retail Sales Associate; Part Time

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers with enthusiasm, providing product knowledge and assistance to enhance their shopping experience.
• Deliver personalized solutions that meet or exceed guests' needs by asking open‑ended questions and thoughtfully pairing similar items.
• Accurately record retail transactions including cash, credit card, Earned Rewards, and comps through the Point‑of‑Sale System following proper policies and procedures. Maintain a cash drawer and balance drawer with a minimum variance.
• Restock merchandise to ensure the store is appropriately supplied at all times. Maintain merchandise presentations, clean and organize the store area.
• Communicate Club card benefits, upcoming events and promotions to guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two (2) years of Guest Service experience preferred.

• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management.
• Ability to meet or exceed sales goals and maintain customer service standards.
• Proficiency with Point of Sale systems.
• Strong multi‑tasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable exchanging names with customers; maintain a positive and professional demeanor.

• May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission.
• Driving responsibilities: the role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.

Primary work environment is in a climate‑controlled office setting. The role may require travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences. Employees may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment. Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, operating a computer and related office equipment. Physical motions include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity sufficient for reading and visual inspection. Mobility sufficient to move safely in an office environment and operate a motor vehicle for promotional events, meetings, conferences and travel to San Manuel properties.

Endurance sufficient for sitting, walking and standing for extended periods, and during extended work hours. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke may occur. Reasonable accommodation will be made in compliance with all applicable laws.
