Job Summary
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Transportation, the Senior Traffic Control Specialist is responsible for directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, transporting passengers via commercial and VIP vehicles, and performing valet attendant duties. The specialist assists leadership with the day‑to‑day shift operations of the Transportation department to ensure a seamless best‑in‑class service.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAuthorized Driver:
The role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or patron vehicles. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, as determined by the insurance carrier, is required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of driving experience required.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Related or direct experience may be considered in lieu of the minimum educational requirements.
- Ability to operate vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions preferred.
- Basic vehicle maintenance experience preferred.
- May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission.
- Must have or obtain a California Commercial Driver’s License, Class C or higher, with a passenger endorsement.
The primary work environment is outdoor, non‑office setting, including extreme desert weather (rain, wind, heat, etc.). The position requires working evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, traveling for meetings, trade shows, and conferences, and performing tasks such as lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally or up to 40 pounds occasionally. Responsibilities include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
