Senior General Accountant Description
This position is a senior member in the Accounting/Finance department who will provide a high level of analytical support and take on lead roles in projects. It also involves supporting general accountants and identifying potential areas of opportunity within the department to drive solutions. The role offers exposure to various accounting functions within the Company and involves daily, monthly, and annual processes such as monthly and annual closings, budgeting, physical inventory, payroll, tax, and cost accounting.
EssentialDuties
- Responsible for certain monthly and annual financial close processes and reporting needs.
- Prepare and analyze business activity to support financial forecasting and planning.
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial analysis and account reconciliations.
- Participate in the budget process, including preparation of schedules and analysis.
- Ensure general ledger transactions are recorded and classified accurately and timely.
- Provide support for the year‑end audit process.
- Lead and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
- Support other areas of the department when technical or capacity issues arise.
- Track and maintain fixed assets.
- Perform certain inventory analysis and cost accounting responsibilities.
- Support international entities within areas of responsibility.
- Provide support to general accountants as needed.
- Identify areas of improvement and develop procedures to automate and improve efficiencies.
- Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business degree.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Ability to apply broad accounting principles to a variety of corporate accounting activities.
- Strong skill set in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in Oracle software is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

CompensationExpected compensation range $90,000 – $103,500. Pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
