Lunchroom And Noon Supervisor
Meridian CUSD 223 is seeking a lunchroom and noon supervisor for Highland Grade School. To supervise lunchroom and outdoor noon recess activities and assist students to be self-directed learners, collaborative workers, complex thinkers, quality producers and community contributors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive district information
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Ability to work with students and adults in a positive manner
- Physically and emotionally able to perform job responsibilities
- Ability to attend work regularly and punctually and complete duties in a timely manner
- Of good moral character and possessing temperate, ethical, and industrious habits
- Knowledge of basic supervisory skills
- Skilled in problem solving and resolving issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff verbally
- Adhere to the Board of Education policies and procedures
- Implement the District's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives
- Prompt arrival and full effort throughout the duration of every shift
- Report suspected child abuse/neglect cases as required by statute and district policy
- Work cooperatively with other school personnel
- Assist in supervising students' lunch room and recess activities
- Assist in lunchroom set-up and the preparation of the cafeteria for serving
- Maintain a clean, neat appearance, appropriate to position
- Adhere to guidelines of confidentiality as outlined in federal and state laws and School Board Policies and Procedures
- Maintain a record of appropriate attendance and punctuality
- Serve as optimal role model for students, colleagues, and the general public
- Comply with all district and school policies and regulations
- Represent the district well in interactions with all stakeholders
- Participate in building and/or district initiatives as reasonable
- Regularly required to stand; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; and talk or hear
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms
- Regularly required to stand and walk
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Other physical demands of the positions include: regular bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting/turning/balancing, reaching above shoulder/outward, and walking around the playground to supervise
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
