Associate Pastor of Discipleship

Mosaic Church is looking for an Associate Pastor who is passionate about helping people take meaningful next steps with Jesus.

We are not simply looking for someone to manage programs. We are looking for a builder, shepherd, and culture‑shaper who can help people grow toward spiritual maturity and deeper engagement in biblical community.

Our Environment

Planted in 2010, Mosaic is located in a rural suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, just 30 minutes from the Arch. Our current average Sunday worship attendance is around 500 people from every stage of life.

We are a Bible‑centered church that values authentic faith, practical teaching, servant leadership, and relational discipleship.

Mosaic is a growing and evolving church, so this role requires flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to help build systems and culture simultaneously.

Primary Responsibilities Discipleship & Next Steps
  • Help shape and lead a clear discipleship pathway across the life of the church.
  • Create clear next steps for guests, new believers, and growing disciples.
  • Help people move from attendance to engagement and ownership.
  • Develop environments that foster spiritual growth and biblical community.
Small Groups & Leadership Development
  • Recruit, train, and support small group leaders.
  • Strengthen and expand group ministry.
  • Identify and mentor emerging leaders.
  • Build healthy volunteer systems and leadership pipelines.
Pastoral Leadership
  • Be present and engaged during weekend services and church events.
  • Assist with pastoral care responsibilities as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with staff and ministry leaders.
  • Teach, lead classes, and occasionally preach as opportunities arise.
Culture & Vision
  • Help strengthen a culture of spiritual growth, service, and mission.
  • Champion unity, humility, and servant leadership.
  • Contribute to the overall health and vision of the church.

Competency
  • Experience in discipleship, leadership development, or pastoral ministry.
  • Ability to recruit and develop volunteers.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build healthy systems that support ministry growth.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 to 5+ years of ministry leadership experience preferred, but not required.
  • Teaching or preaching experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing technology and ministry systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation for this role will be based on experience, education, ministry background, and overall fit for the position.
