Position: Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Department

Pay Range: $30.50 - $46.80 per hour. Pay based on experience, skills, training, certifications, and education.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a patient‑focused, mission‑driven Registered Nurse (RN) to provide hands‑on acute patient care at the bedside in our Emergency Department.

Position Details
  • Department: Emergency Department
  • Core Function: Nursing
  • Schedule: Full Time, 36 hours per week, rotating shift (days and nights)
  • Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital
  • Location: Highland, IL

Education Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited and approved nursing school, eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • Critical Care Nursing experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice required.
  • Multi‑state RN license acceptable within Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required based on patient population.
  • Specialty certifications such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
Job Description

As an RN in the Emergency Department, you will coordinate and perform acute patient care at the bedside, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient‑centered care and maintain a safe, efficient environment.
